Histochemidal Study on the effect of inositol on the aubmandibular and Sublongual gland in albibo rat.

Abstract
|
|
|
Histochemical experiments on the effect of inositol in the submandibular and sublingual gland were carried out by use of albino rat.
The experimental rats were given daily subcutaneous injections of inositol (4mg/cc)´a uring 1, 2, 3, 5, 7,10 and l4days respectively.
The specimens of tissue were fixed immediately in alcohol and Carnoy´s solution.
Different histochemical staining for the determination were the PAS-azure 1, toluidine blue, alloxan￢Schiff and methylen blue.
The results were as follows;
The stain ability of PAS-azure 1 were increased in the serous cell which recived after three day. The metachromatic reactions were increased weakly in the mucous cell which recived after 7 and 10 days. The reaction for alloxan-Schiff were increased at the basal portion of serous cell.
